Jason Gerrit Waugaman, who worked for the Natrona County School District in Casper, Wyoming, as a substitute and part-time teacher, tutor and speech and debate coach, pleaded guilty in May 2020 to third-degree sexual abuse of a minor involving a student. On August 25, 2020, he was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison. In March 2021 he received a concurrent seven-to-10-year sentence for sexual exploitation of a minor in a separate case.
