What the source reports
Morris David Nelson, a former math teacher at the Vermont School for Girls in Bennington, was found guilty by a jury in June 2017 of sexual assault charges involving a 17-year-old former student. He was sentenced in 2018 to 12 years to life in prison. The Vermont Supreme Court vacated a separate sexual exploitation conviction but affirmed the assault convictions and sentence.
