Ryan Brungardt, a former Lakewood Middle School teacher and Salina Central High School wrestling coach, pleaded guilty in federal court to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child (production of child pornography). Court records say he recorded minors showering in locker rooms at wrestling tournaments in January 2024. Under the plea agreement he faces 35 to 40 years in prison; sentencing has not yet occurred.
