William Rabel, a Lakewood High School teacher and coach, pleaded guilty in January 2008 to ten counts of sexual battery involving one of his students. In March 2008 he was sentenced to two years on each count, to run concurrently; in December 2008 the court granted judicial release and ordered residential sex-offender treatment. The appeals court affirmed in 2009.
